This week's farm news:

Welcome, friends, to another season with Bugtussle! Can you believe it's our 14th? I surely can't!

The spring has been pretty good so far. Overall, cool and wet... until it turned rather suddenly hot and dry. This past week we particularly felt summer's imminence, which just begged for getting summer crops in the ground! All of the (250!) tomato plants were transplanted as well as sweet & hot peppers, eggplant, cukes, and melons. We seeded corn and beans which are coming up nicely, too. My mouth is watering for all of it!

And, in case you didn't notice or were too shy to ask, Cher's mid-section is growing round... and not from swallowing a watermelon seed or drinking too much beer over the winter. Yep, little sprout #4 is on its way! Due in early October just as our summer CSA season is winding down. What timing and what a blessing!

XO Cher & Eric
